The World in London commission
To mark the London Olympics, the Photographers' Gallery asked 204 acclaimed and rising photographers to take pictures of 204 Londoners who were born in countries competing in the 30th Olympiad.
These three portraits of Jenny Schmidt were made to represent Germany.
The title of the series refers to a painting by Martin Kippenberger and a meeting between him and Jenny at the SO36 bar in Berlin in the early 80's.
The first was shown as part of the public art installation in Victoria Park, east London and Oxford Street, central London.
